Medborgarskolan is entitled to cancel a course or an event where there is an insufficient number of participants. If a course has been cancelled, you are entitled to receive reimbursement for any course fee paid. A 'study hour' = 45 minutes.
Your application
If you have any questions concerning your application, please contact the office which is shown as the sender of the invitation. The invitation states the name of the course/event to which you have enrolled, together with the fee.
If the invoice is not paid before the due date stated, you will be charged a reminder fee.
In the event of a payment other than with the attached payment slip, the specified OCR number must be quoted.
Withdrawal of application (cancellation)
Your application is binding. You are, however, entitled to withdraw your application up to 14 days before the course start without charge (does not apply to events with a specific date/time such as lectures, drama and music performances). If you cancel later than 14 days, though at the latest one week prior to the course start, an administration fee will be charged. For cancellations later than one week prior to the course start, half the course fee will be debited. If you withdraw your application or terminate your participation from the day when the course has begun, you are obliged to pay the full course fee.
If, due to sickness (which must be certified) or because you have moved to another location you are obliged to terminate your participation, you will be charged for the course meetings that have been held plus an administration fee.
For those who are underage
If you are under 18 years of age, your guardian must approve the course application and the conditions of purchase. When the conditions of purchase have been accepted, your guardian's approval is confirmed.
Study materials
The cost of study materials is normally not included in the course fee. You cannot return a sealed course material if the seal has been broken.
Client register
By accepting the conditions of purchase, which you must do in order to be able to make the application, you consent to being registered with your personal details in Medborgarskolan's client register. The register exists to enable the sending of invitations and invoices to participants to be carried out effectively. The register also exists to enable Medborgarskolan to send you information about ongoing and future study circles/courses and other events. If you do not wish to have such information, you should inform Medborgarskolan in writing.
In the event of any claims, the rules of konsumenttjänstlagen (the Consumer Service Act) will apply.
