Florist för en dag - Blomstermoln
Att mötas genom kreativitet och gemensamt intresse för att lära sig något nytt är bland det bästa jag vet. Det bubblade av förväntan i trapphuset på Medborgarsk...
This course is designed for those who feel more comfortable with English than Swedish.
Under the guidance of our skilled ikebanist, you will delve into the traditional art of flower arranging, where every detail and line tells a story. Ikebana, which translates to "giving life to flowers," focuses on balance, harmony, and creating a dialogue between nature and humanity.
This course combines inspiring theory with practical creativity. We begin with an introduction to the fundamentals of ikebana and the principles of Japanese aesthetics. Then, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own arrangement following the Sogetsu school's guidelines – a modern and creative interpretation of ikebana. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, you’ll leave with new skills and the flowers from the course so that you can create a new, unique floral arrangement at home.
Let your creativity bloom!
Flowers are included in the course fee. Flower frogs, vases, and tools will be provided for use during the session. After the course, you get to take your floral creations home.
Anne-Charlotte Nilsson is a certified ikebanist from the Sogetsu-ryu in Tokyo, holding the highest degree, riji. She has exhibited at prestigious venues such as Takashimaya and Sogetsu Kaikan. Medborgarskolan is a humanistic educational association that offers you the opportunity to learn, grow, and exchange experiences and ideas with others. We run a wide range of activities and collaborate with associations and organizations across many different subjects.
We create liberal public education (Folkbildning) together through study circles driven by the exchange of knowledge. The study circle is the classic format within the Swedish folkbildning (liberal public education) movement, and can focus on both big and small topics, local or global issues. It can be held through in-person meetings or remotely, and each participant has the opportunity to influence the structure and content of the circle, following a democratically inspired model.
