A workshop about how our nervous system works and how we can both change ingrained neurological patterns over time as well as the present lived experience in the body simply by knowing how to regulate the breath.

The way we breathe gives us a direct view into the mind. We breathe in one way when we are stressed, worried, scared, nervous, anxious, angry, and in another when we are calm, relaxed, happy, at ease.

I will teach you about your breath, how the nervous system works (so fascinating!), and how you can modify your breath as a way of changing the dynamics in the mind that will ultimately alter the way you feel in the body. To keep it simple, breathing exercises that you can apply when you need to calm down, to find balance, to energize.

Your body knows perfectly well how to breathe for you. Conscious breathing is not only different, but also a game changer.

We will have time for questions and an open dialogue if you would feel compelled to do so.

About the instructur Carmen

The first time I stepped on a yoga mat was 15 years ago in Thailand. Since that moment my practice evolved from the very physical aspect of yoga to the inner landscape where meditation was and still is, the hero.

My understanding of yoga is that all of us have a unique path to walk. Yoga gives us plenty of methods to apply whenever needed. So with every teacher training I did in yin yoga, restorative, hatha, yoga nidra, yoga for mental health and recovery, I have come to share what I have studied, practiced and been taught.
