The course is fun and yet will challenge you to step out of your comfort zone, which is where the magic happens! All levels are welcome.
We prepare our bodies, voices and minds. Acting games are used to help heighten our awareness and increase our focus level. Together we will work with movement, as an ensemble, work on monologues and duologues. You will work together to create your own group performance. We will also work on improvisation, a great way to teach awareness and learn how to give and take as a performer. Content is subject to change depending on the participants needs. This course in intended for young people to repeatedly enrol in if they wish, as the content is always new so it is always fresh.
On the last day of the course, we will have a relaxed showing for friends and family.

All materials are included in the course price. Bring a water bottle. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and indoor trainers.
A willingness to play. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner with no performing experience. Come with an open mind. All levels are welcome. No audition required.
All sessions are led in English so knowledge of the English language is required.
Classes this will continue during any school holidays, national holidays, ‘red days’ etc.
If your child has Special Educational Needs or requires additional support, please let us know when you enrol so that we can make the classes accessible and be best prepared to meet your child’s needs.
Parents/Guardians are asked to wait outside the room and remain onsite during the session.
Meet Annemarie Anang, a versatile artist and educator making waves in the world of arts and education. With a background in acting, singing, music, literature and education, Annemarie brings a diverse skill set to her role.
Having honed her craft at the renowned Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, Annemarie has made her mark on both screen and stage, with notable appearances in popular TV shows like TED LASSO. Her theatrical journey has also seen her collaborate regularly with leading international theatre companies, such as innovative PUNCHDRUNK ENRICHMENT. In Sweden she has sung with Gramis award-winning folk musician Sara Parkman as well as Opera på Skäret. Annemarie was recently appointed Artistic Director of the new CandleLight Studios in Grängesberg and is the founder of DEST, Dalarna English Studio Theatre.
Originally hailing from London, Annemarie now calls Sweden home. Embracing her new surroundings, she is committed to enriching the cultural landscape and inspiring others through her passion for the arts.
We create public education together in study circles that are driven forward through the exchange of knowledge. The study circle is the popular education movement's classic course form and can be about big and small, local and global. It can be carried out at meetings or remotely and the individual participant can influence the structure and content of the circle according to a democratically inspired model.
Medborgarskolan is a humanistic study association that gives you the opportunity to learn, develop and exchange experiences and thoughts with other people. We have a wide range of activities and cooperation with associations and organizations in many different subjects.
