Step into the Rhythm – Where Dance Meets Community! There’s a special kind of magic that happens when the music starts, the floor fills with energy, and strangers become dance partners. That’s exactly why we’re inviting you to join Social Dancing!
A latin dance circle organised by Social Hub / Interkultur in collaboration with Medborgarskolan. Come to dance, meet new people and discover the joy of Latin rhythms in a relaxed setting.
FOR WHO
The Open House sessions in September are open to everyone, with or without previous dance experience. No partner is needed—we rotate partners so that everyone can dance together.
From October, the dance circle is open to members of Social Hub / Interkultur i Lund. Anyone is welcome to become a member by registering and paying a small community contribution (100 kr give access to this and all the other Social Hub activities until December 2027). More info will be shared during the sessions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
During September, you can discover three different Latin dance experiences:
- Cuban Salsa—playful, circular and full of Caribbean energy
- Cuarteto Argentino—an energetic session filled with brass and joy
- Dominican Bachata—soulful, romantic and deeply rhythmic
In October, we begin with one final Dominican Bachata session. From Wednesday 14 October, the dance circle focuses fully on the basics of Cuban Salsa and continues every Wednesday until the Christmas holidays.
Beginners are encouraged to attend regularly to build a strong foundation. Returning dancers are welcome to practise the basics and refine their technique.
The aim is not to train performers, but to create a welcoming community where people can dance, connect and have fun together.
WHAT TO BRING
Wear clean, comfortable indoor shoes to help us protect the dance floor, open mind and a willingness to meet new people!

- When: Wednesdays, 18:00–19:00
- Location: Medborgarskolan Lund, Bangatan 10 A, dance hall
- Cost: There is no Medborgarskolan course fee for the September Open House period
- No partner is required
- Language: English
Please note: This community activity is organised by Social Hub / Interkultur in collaboration with Medborgarskolan. The dance circle is a welcoming meeting place for anyone who wants to connect through dance, practise in a relaxed setting and become part of Lund’s international community.
