Content

The silver jewelry course is for those who enjoy working with their hands and love the satisfying feeling of having created something lasting.

We begin with a short introduction to the workshop and the tools. Then you will go through the different working methods. You will learn how to shape silver and give the surfaces different finishes. The course teaches you how to bend, saw, file, drill, solder, and forge. The goal of the course is for you to have designed and created jewelry based on your own ideas and designs.

Theory is combined with practical work, where participants work independently under the guidance of the instructor. Theoretical reviews take place both in groups and individually. Everything is based on the participant’s needs and skill level.

• Days: Weekend course, Saturday and Sunday
• Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Prerequisites

No previous experience required.

Instructor

There is something special about our instructors! All our instructors complete Medborgarskolan’s introductory course and work according to Medborgarskolan’s core values.

Course Materials

Tools and other necessary materials are available on-site. Course materials are not included.

Both sheet silver and wire are used. The silver is weighed and recorded, and invoiced after the course. The price of silver follows the market and is currently 40 SEK per gram. We will invoice all participants 100 SEK for consumable materials such as solder, saw blades, and more.

• The venue includes access to a break room with a microwave, refrigerator, plates, and cutlery.
